About The Experience
Immerse yourself in Coorg’s rich biodiversity on a guided birding walk with Bopanna Pattada, one of the region’s most experienced naturalists. Begin with a short orientation before setting off on a slow-paced plantation and forest trail, where the melodies of birdsong guide your journey.
From the striking Malabar Grey-hornbill to the colorful Flame-throated Bulbul, this experience offers a chance to spot over 35 bird species in a single session. Along the way, gain insights into bird calls, spotting techniques, and the delicate balance of Coorg’s ecosystems. Perfect for both first-time birders and seasoned enthusiasts, this walk is a meditative escape into the natural world.
Experience Instructions
- Available daily at 6:30–8:30 AM or 2:00–4:00 PM.
- The experience begins with a 15-minute orientation, followed by a guided plantation and forest walk.
- Walking sticks are optional and will be provided if needed.
- Guests are encouraged to bring binoculars or a camera to enhance their experience.
- Comfortable outdoor attire and walking shoes are recommended.
- Pre-booking is required. Not suitable for guests with severe allergies or certain health conditions.
